Visit to Parliament:

On 9 May 2011, a group of 13 students left Oxford rather early in the morning on a visit to London where we had a tour of Parliament arranged for us by Dr David Landrum, Parliamentary Officer of the Bible Society. We were taken around the House of Lords and the House of Commons and given an account of some of the significant and colourful events of British history as well as some of the rituals of daily Parliamentary practice. Later that morning, we had a chance to meet and chat to David Landrum and Baroness Elizabeth Berridge. Among other subjects, we talked about how faith informs political practice and the ways in which a host culture should engage with migrant groups.
