Spring Weekend Away, March 2010

at the Oast Houses, Northiam, East Sussex

In April the Pastorate team led a weekend away that was intended to offer non-Christian postgraduates the opportunity to meet and build relationships with their Christian peers, and to begin to engage with the Christian faith, in a relaxed and friendly environment.  A group of 20+ postgraduates (including their families) spent the weekend at the beautiful Oasts retreat centre in East Sussex.  In addition to the inevitable country walks and tourism, we watched and discussed the film Chariots of Fire, considering what it is that brings true peace and fulfilment, and engaged in a suitably user-friendly and testimony-laden act of worship on the Sunday morning.  The atmosphere was excellent and friendship and understanding certainly grew between the participants.

We were privileged to have been offered an exceptionally good rate at the Oast Houses in Northiam, East Sussex with their private swimming pool, sauna and tennis court!
