Veritas Forum 2011

The fourth annual Veritas Forum took place at the Sheldonian Theatre on 1st June 2011. It brought together Prof Robin Dunbar, Prof Graham Ward, and Jenny Rutherford in a conversation moderated by Joel Harrison. At a time when Facebook has 500 million users, Twitter was suggested for the Nobel Peace Prize, and connection has been proclaimed as the new 'transcendence', the Veritas Forum set out to ask: What is friendship and community? How are they affected by social media? And what is the relevance of the Christian tradition?
